The Safe Travels First Class plan covers trip cancellation 100% up to $15,000 and trip interruption 150% up to $22,500. It also includes $150,000 per person of emergency accident and sickness medical coverage. The plan covers pre-existing medical conditions when coverage is purchased within 14 days of deposit and before final payment. Includes $1,000 for potential accommodations/lodging expenses due to trip delay and $5,000 of property damage coverage.

This plan offers Optional Coverages including**:

  • Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) that provides reimbursement for 75% of the prepaid, non-refundable, forfeited payments you paid for your trip if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy. Must be purchased with the initial policy and within 14 days of the initial trip deposit date, and the full, nonrefundable trip cost is insured. To qualify for the CFAR benefit, you must insure your entire trip cost. (Not available to residents of NY or WA)
  • Rental Car Damage Coverage $50,000 (Not available to residents of NY or TX)

Plan Definitions

  • TRIP CANCELLATION

    We will reimburse you, up to the maximum benefit shown on the confirmation, for the cost of your airline ticket, the reissue fee charged by the airline for the tickets or your non-refundable airfare cancellation charges for flights joining or departing your Land/Sea Arrangements if cancellation occurs before your scheduled departure date due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, death, strike, terrorist attack, security breach at the airport or weather. **Please note that the per day rate for 31-90 days on ages 80+ is for PA only.

  • TRIP INTERRUPTION

    We will reimburse you, up to the maximum benefit shown on the confirmation of coverage if you or your traveling companion, booked to travel with you, are prevented from continuing or resuming your trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, accidental injury, death, strike, terrorist attack, mandatory evacuation or weather.

  • TRIP DELAY

    We will reimburse you, up to the plan maximum for covered additional expenses on a one-time basis, if you are delayed for 12 or more hours, while in route to or from your trip due to a defined hazard such as delay of Common Carrier, traffic accident, weather, lost or stolen passports, travel documents or money, Quarantine, hijacking, unannounced Strike, natural disaster, civil commotion or riot.

  • BAGGAGE DELAY 

    We will reimburse you, up to the Plan maximum for the expense of replacing necessary personal effects if your checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than 12 hours while on your trip.

  • BAGGAGE/PERSONAL EFFECTS 

    We will reimburse you, up to the Plan maximum for the loss, theft or damage to baggage and personal effects while checked with a Common Carrier during your trip.

  • MISSED CONNECTION 

    We will reimburse you, up to the Maximum Benefit shown on the Confirmation of Coverage, if you miss your cruise or tour departure, scheduled during your Trip, that results from cancellation or delay, for three (3) or more hours, of all regularly scheduled airline flights due to Inclement Weather. Coverage is secondary to any compensation provided by a Common Carrier.

  • PROPERTY DAMAGE

    Provides reimbursement for direct physical damage to covered real or personal property within the unit occupied by the insured during the trip.

  • EMERGENCY EVACUATION & REPATRIATION OF REMAINS

    We will pay, up to the Plan maximum any reasonable charges for Emergency Medical Evacuation required by a Physician, for a covered injury or sickness, to the closest adequate medical facility using the most direct and economical conveyance and route possible. All evacuations and repatriations must be arranged and authorized by the Assistance Company.

  • OPTIONAL CANCEL FOR ANY REASON - CFAR

    We will reimburse you for the percentage of the prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable Payments or Deposits you paid for your Trip shown on the Confirmation of Coverage If you cancel your Trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this Certificate. Must be purchased with initial policy and within 14 days of the trip deposit date, and the full, non-refundable trip cost is insured. (Not available for residents of NY or WA)

  • OPTIONAL RENTAL CAR DAMAGE

    We will reimburse you for the cost of repairs and rental charges imposed by the rental company while the car is being repaired or the actual cash value of the car or the maximum benefit. An Insured must be a licensed driver and listed on the rental car agreement in order for coverage to apply. Not covered: Rentals of trucks, campers, trailers, off-road or four-wheel drive vehicles, motor bikes, motorcycles, recreational vehicles or Exotic Vehicles; Any loss that occurs if you are in violation of the rental agreement; Failure to report the loss to the proper local authorities and the rental car company; Damage to any other vehicle, structure or person as a result of a covered loss. (Not available for residents of NY or TX)

  • PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION EXCLUSION WAIVER

    Exclusion is waived if coverage is purchased within 14 days of the initial
    trip deposit date, and the full, non-refundable trip cost is insured, and you are medically able to travel on the policy effective date.

  • CANCELLATION FOR REFUND DURING FREE LOOK PERIOD 

    You may cancel this Policy for refund by giving Trawick International notice of cancellation during the free look period. Most states have a 10 day free look period beginning the date the policy was purchased, but the State Certificate ultimately determines the timeframe of the free look period, if any. If the free look period has passed, you may still receive a refund provided you have not filed a claim under this Policy and upon submission of documentation showing proof that the original trip was canceled and fully refunded. Documentation can be submitted to: info@trawickinternation.com. When calculating the free look period, the date of purchase is counted as day 1.

    If travel has started, the premium is non-refundable.
