Trip cancellation insurance helps protect you and the investment you made in your trip when you travel. It provides pre-departure benefits in case you must cancel your trip before you have the chance to take it, and post-departure benefits that protect you while you are traveling, such as travel delay, trip interruption, and emergency medical expenses.
Trawick International Safe Travels Trip Protection Plans cover pre-paid, nonrefundable financial penalties or losses you incur when you cancel a prepaid tour or flight for a covered reason. Some plans offer optional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) and Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR).
It's best to buy your insurance within a week of making the first payment on your trip, however you can purchase a trip cancellation plan until the day before you leave. For plans that offer Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), you must purchase the benefit within the specified time frame from the initial deposit date, and you must insure all prepaid non-refundable trip costs. Please note that we do not have any plans that offer CFAR in NY.

Safe Travels Voyager
The Safe Travels Voyager is designed for those who are looking for the highest available benefit limits to protect your trip. This plan covers trips up to $100,000 for trip cancellation and includes a $250,000 per person limit primary medical coverage with coverage for pre-existing medical conditions when purchased within 21 days of deposit and before final payment.
- Valid for US Residents and US Citizens traveling within the U.S and/or internationally
- For Age 14 days to 99 years of age
- Coverage for a maximum of 180 days
- Optional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) is not available for residents of: New York, New Hampshire, and Washington. CFAR must be purchased within 21 days of initial trip deposit date
Safe Travels First Class
Specifically for US Citizens/US Residents while traveling to destinations in the USA or abroad. Insured by Nationwide, and featured in Forbes Magazine for up to $15,000 of trip cancellation. This plan also covers trip interruption, trip delay, lost baggage, emergency medical, emergency evacuation and repatriation. Optional Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) - Not available in NY or WA
- Valid for US Residents and US Citizens traveling within the U.S and/or internationally
- Plan is available for purchase 15 months in advance of departure
- Plan rates are per person, based on trip costs, number of days and age of traveler at the time of purchase
- Maximum trip length for ages 80+ is 30 days.
Safe Travels Explorer
The Safe Travels Explorer is our budget-friendly travel protection plan designed for leisure or business travel for domestic and international trips. This plan covers "just the necessities" like trip cancellation and Interruption up to $30,000 and excess medical coverage for accident and sickness up to $50,000. Also included is trip delay up to $1,000 for potential accommodations/lodging expenses and $200,000 for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. This plan does not cover pre-existing conditions. Optional car rental damage up to $25,000 (Not available in NY or TX).

This budget-friendly travel protection plan is designed for leisure or business travel for domestic and international trips. It offers excess medical coverage for accident and sickness up to $50,000 and trip cancellation and interruption up to $30,000. Trip delay is covered up to $1,000 for potential accommodations/lodging expenses and $200,000 for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. Optional car rental damage up to $25,000 (Not available in NY or TX).

The Safe Travels Journey plan covers trips up to $50,000 for trip cancellation and includes $150,000 per person of excess medical coverage. The plan covers pre-existing medical conditions provided when coverage is purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit and before final payment. Includes $2,000 for potential accommodations/lodging expenses due to trip delay.

This plan, insured by Nationwide, is for US Citizens and US Residents while traveling in USA or abroad. Covers trips up to 90 days and up to $14,000 for trip cancellation or interruption. Provides $75,000 for emergency medical expense for an unforeseen injury or illness while on your trip. Optional car rental damage up to $25,000 (Not available in NY or TX).
